STIs and Your Health
"Every year in the U.S. there are an estimated 20 million new sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and nearly half of all new STI cases occur in people ages 15 to 24." Anyone who is sexually active is at risk for contracting an STI. Condoms reduce the risk for contracting some STIs, but they do not provide full protection.
Many people are misinformed and think that condoms eliminate the risk , and thus are unaware that they have an STI. The best way to avoid contracting an STI is to reserve sexual activity until marriage, and then remain faithful to your partner when married.
